What does a graphic designer do for her own wedding? Goes crazy!
My then fiancé Brad and I brainstormed, taking our inspiration from French Victorian-era soap labels and the historic Moulin Rouge to create an elegant tattoo of our names and wedding date. The suite included a save the date card/email blast and an invitation package secured with a red button and string-tied envelope. I also created matching programs, thank you notes, a small, grommeted booklet/favor and reception signage. For the reception, I created patterned paper to decorate the food trays and designed the bride's and groom’s cakes. Brad insisted I design my wedding band. He took my sketch to a jeweler, who created a custom ring with rubies (his birthstone and my favorite color) and tiny diamond accents.
